At Homegrown Juice, we're proud to be the only nationally distributed cold pressed chilled juice company in New Zealand with our own orchards. This gives us complete control over the quality of our juice—from tree to bottle.
Our orchards are nestled in Hawke’s Bay — the Fruit Bowl of New Zealand — and
we are the country’s largest grower of juicing oranges, making us a major contributor to the local citrus industry.
We use as much of our locally grown fruit as possible, and we source and procure from abroad to produce consistently and meet our high-quality standards and customer needs.
The quality of our orange juice starts from the day our trees are first planted.
- We have been growing oranges here in Hawkes Bay, the fruit bowl of NZ, since 1969.
- Most orange juices in NZ are made from imported orange juice concentrate, some orange juice is even bottled overseas.
- This goes against our philosophy. We believe you can't make great tasting nutritious juice from concentrate or when its been heat pasteurised and shipped from overseas.
- So we did something about it and increased our plantings to the point where we now have the largest plantings of orange orchards in New Zealand.
- These orchards allow us to grow most of the oranges that go into our juice and enables us to pick the oranges at their very best.
